La Libanesa
From paper invoice books to mobile, offline-capable billing connected to SAP.

The challenge
La Libanesa, a bakery and restaurant business in the Dominican Republic, wanted to strengthen its operations and expand distribution of its products to supermarkets nationwide. Yet a critical part of its commercial process still ran on paper: sales reps wrote invoices in physical books, and that information later had to be keyed into SAP a second time. Handling the same transaction twice added administrative work and created room for transcription errors. On top of that, the sales team needed a tool that could travel with them on their routes and keep working where connectivity was limited.
The solution
We built a Remote Invoicing System centered on a mobile application, designed so sales reps can issue invoices directly from their devices, even with no internet connection. Once connectivity returns, the data syncs with the web platform and with SAP R3, keeping operational records current. The design started from the real conditions in which invoicing happens away from company premises. As a result, invoicing is no longer an isolated step but part of a digital flow connected to the company's administrative operation.
The result
Facturación ~40% más rápida y 100% de la operación centralizada en un sistema remoto.
Less reliance on manual processes, with invoice creation moved to a mobile environment.
What we built
- A mobile invoicing application that generates invoices at the exact moment of the sale.
- Offline operation, so a temporary loss of connectivity never stops the process and completed transactions remain queued for later synchronization.
- Automatic synchronization on reconnection: invoices created on devices upload to the web platform and update information across the business ecosystem.
- SAP R3 integration that keeps operational data aligned; product changes made in SAP are reflected in the app after the next sync.
- Zebra printer compatibility, so invoices can be printed on the spot for the customer and for internal processes.
- A web platform that receives field-generated data and folds it into the administrative ecosystem.
Impact and results
- Less reliance on manual processes, with invoice creation moved to a mobile environment.
- Less re-keying of data, since the commercial process connects directly to SAP, removing the points where transcription inconsistencies used to appear.
- Uninterrupted field operations, since reps keep working with or without a connection.
- Faster document delivery thanks to Zebra printer integration.
- Stronger distribution capability, with a tool built for a decentralized sales operation serving multiple points of sale.
Technologies and integrations
- Mobile application with offline capability and data synchronization.
- Web platform for receiving and consolidating information generated in the field.
- SAP R3 integration.
- Mobile printing with Zebra devices.
