Centralized API management and a sandbox environment for partners

The challenge
Seguros Venezuela had a range of integration services connecting its technology capabilities to commercial partners, but everything a partner needed to consume them lived in static documents and scattered files, mostly PDFs. Every service meant communicating methods, parameters, response structures and integration considerations by hand, which made the information hard to update and maintain as the integration ecosystem kept growing. The problem was not simply publishing APIs. It was organizing how that information is managed and presented: consolidating fragmented documentation, giving partners a single place to consult, structuring multiple services and projects independently, and controlling what each user is allowed to do inside the system.
The solution
We built an API Documentation and Exposure Management System: a web platform that centralizes service administration, organizes technical documentation and gives partners a structured environment to understand and validate the available APIs. Documentation stopped being a set of isolated files and became part of a platform where services are grouped into API projects, with consumption methods, input parameters, output structures and integration notes presented consistently. Seguros Venezuela now has a single point from which to manage the services it exposes, the users involved and the permissions tied to each profile. The platform was developed as an administrative web application and validated through functional testing covering positive and negative scenarios for authentication, users, roles, permissions and API project management, verified across Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

What we built
- Centralized API project management: create, update, activate, deactivate and delete.
- Structured documentation for each service, covering the method, required parameters, expected response structure and integration considerations.
- A validation environment for running controlled tests against services and viewing their responses before committing to an integration.
- User administration: creation, editing, status control, search, and validation of required fields, email format and duplicates.
- Configurable roles and permissions that define which features each profile can access.
- Email and password authentication, plus secure account recovery with code delivery and verification before credentials are updated.
